     Tips For Maintaining Your Weave Extension

  1. Shampoo your weave every 7-14 days.

  2. Be sure hair is free from tangles before shampooing. Always comb weaves from

    bottom of hair to top, not root to ends like your natural hair.

  3. Use gentle products on your weave, so hair won't be striped.

  4. Be sure to use products that will moisturize but not leave hair oily.

  5. Shampoo weave by gently sliding your fingers in a downward motion throughout the hair, when

    shampooed in this manner hair will not tangle.

  6. Always use warm water when shampooing your weave. If water is to hot or to cold, the

    weave will quickly tangle. Dry Shampoo is very good for hair extension

  7. Use an over head dryer to make sure your natural hair dries underneath the weave.     

    Your weave needs lots of care and attention just like your natural hair.

  8.  Between weaves, be sure to give attention to your natural hair with conditioning

    treatments and trims. When wearing weaves some people tend to neglect their

    natural hair.

     9.  It's weave but that does not mean you should over use heat on the hair with flat irons and curling  irons.Weave hair will also break and split. When preparing weave for bed, wrap weave
in loose ponytail and cover with hair bonnet.

    10.  Moroccan Oil or Bone strait is very good for replenishing the hair extension
    11.  Glossing Serum is very good or controlling frizz and makes the hair smooth and shiny.

    12.  Avoid ripping the hair as this will cause thinning

    13.  Thermal Protection serum is very good to use before applying heated appliance to the hair (It acts as a barrier on the hair)
